4.10 Gears??

I was wondering how many of you guys are running 4.10 gears in your trucks? I'm sure it makes gas mileage worse but how much does it help these trucks? Is it worth it? Give me your opinions on all the pros and cons? Thanks!

I was gonna install a set awhile ago (2yrs), I still have the Percision 4:10's in the original box brand new.

Losing traction on the street would be a huge factor to consider

mine have been in about 5 years and i love them.too much for 1/4 mile but great for a quick burst from 50 mph to 100.didnt buy the truck for gas mileage but i dont think it hurt much.as for traction yes full throttle under 35 mph is instant wheel spin on stock tires.my theory is to get it to hook with tires or other means other than taking out horse power or adding weight.depends on how you drive your truck as to put the gears in or not.

I think you will find that 4.10 gears are a bit much. Traction is defianlty an issue as well as mileage. Its even a bigger problem if you ever plan to mod the truck or run it in the 1/4 mile as it will run out of gear on a higher hp truck. On one truck that I just finished up we are actually lowering the gear ratio to a 3.55 do the fact it cant make it though the 1/4 mile even on 30 inch tall slicks!!!
