3. you would have taken him, those trucks are pig heavy.
4. you should have given him a 4 truck head start ... just so you can fly past him faster than just pulling ahead
5. may have been a cop. (ya never know)

ya 1. and 5. ........ smart move not racing on street, may have been a cop who would deny his proposal in court.

2. smarter move not racing for money...............cause you would have to report that income to the IRS.

4. you should have given him a 4 truck head start ... just so you can fly past him faster than just pulling ahead

if you weren't pre-disposed to do the crime and the officer talked you into it, that is entrapment, anything else NO.

Done had an regular f-150, and I am not paranoid, and I do race on the street, on country roads against people I know only.
So like you said we only endanger ourselves. But unlike your town, we have a black mustang running around here that is a undercover cop and will bust you @$$.

BTW: That is loss of licences for a year.

Sounds to me like he had other plans or just a sick sleeper. We haven't seen many, if any, threads of someone getting beaten by a Hemi, let alone a 5.9. Don't know enough about the Dodge's to know if there are parts available to enable one to beat an L. Sure seems suspicious that he'd only race for money. If your trucks that fast it should just be good old fashion fun to kick someone a$$ even if it's for free.

"He was going to roll you and steal your money and or maybe the Lightning so he could have a REAL TRUCK."
Don't think for a minute that this never happens.

Angry Entrapment only if you can prove it

Yesterday, I was returning from a visit to the waterpark with my son. A surly looking piece of Crud in a Chevy delivery van cuts accross 2 lanes to almost take my nose with him down the offramp. So I follow at a longer than normal distance, cause he just looked like trouble. The road ends up in a 2-laner, and idiot slows down, wait for me to get close and then scoots away. After a few km, the road narrows down to single each way and a construction zone (30 km/h). ~1/2 km into the slow zone, a cop with a radar-gun.

AND HE WAVES TO THE CORKSOAKER IN FRONT OF ME !

They must be teaming it up, trying to get folks angry and beating them into the construction zone, exceeding the limit, and zap, $300 bucks (fines double in construction zones here in Lotusland)

The thing is, if I didn't have the little one with me, I would surely have fallen for the trick.

I think I will be driving with my DV camera turned on ALWAYS from now on...

Deff somthing was up, theft or, if it was an officer, they would only nail you and say the other one got away. but the Dealer tags are a curious twist if it was an officer setup.

I may be the first to get busted by an undercover cop around here so I'll be more careful. I just sold a 94 Ranger 4.0 and in my L, every Tom, **** and Harry I run across wants to run me. I don't turn anyone down becuse it's not like they're going to get a cherry. I've been beaten before.

To be honest with you guys I don't normally turn down a race, but this guy was just being way to shady. He kept telling me he'd race me for all the cash I had in my pocket, but when I asked him to show me his cash he would change the subject and ask me if I was scared. If you guys were to have seen this truck you would have been thinking the same thing I was at the time, which is this guy has got to be kidding. My regular F-150 would have whooped him pretty bad. We had met up at one traffic light and that is where he started talking crap, so when the light turned green I raped him real bad. Even then he still wanted to race for cash, and when I offered a quick run for no money to make sure he wasn't wasting my time he said no. The fact that he was persistent upon knowing how much money I had on me is what kinda turned me away from wanting to run him. I think if I see him again I'll try to set something up, but I am going to bring my other Lightning and Cobra buddies along as well.
