Fuel Pressure Gauge Install?

Hey Guys,
I was wondering what I need to put the adapter that I got from Motor City Mods into to attach it to my Fuel Pressure Gauge.
Thanks,
Simon

if its electronic, you'll need the sending unit along with an adapter that'll mount the sending unit into the fuel rail. you'll also need some teflon to rap around the threads. i've got autometer, and everything except for the fuel rail fitting comes with it. i can't remember what size, but you can find them at a parts store.

teflon tape

I would not use teflon tape, try and find some teflon paste or a good thread sealer that is not effected with petrolium products

i asked my dad what the little adapter was called, and he said it was a schrader valve. just go to a parts store and ask around and find the one that fits.

You will need an adapter that is 1/16" male pipe thread to go into the fuel rail and 1/8" female to accept the sender.

I personally do not like to see the sender mounted directly to the fuel rail as vibration can damage it. I use an adapter setup that has a short SS flex line so that the sender is mounted on the firewall.

where to get a sending unit...

does anyone know where i can buy just the sending unit? When i traded my truck, i unpluged my wires from it but left it screwed down into the fuel rail. I haven't contacted Autometer so i don't know if they will sell it seperately or not. Anyone know where i can pick up another one? (by the way, its an electronic guage)
