Got back from iraq and bought an '03 bolt
I have been reading your message boards since I got my '03 lightning in March. I have added Psp filter kit, Accufab throttle body, boost bypass, kooks long tube headers, magnaflow mid-pipes w/ high flow cats, bassani cat-back, 4lb. lower pulley, and 9100 superchips tuner from JDM(tuned for 93 octane.) I was just wondering if there were any lightning owners on the forum from around the Fort Hood Texas area. Also does anyone know how much HP to wheel I should be putting out.
congrats on the L, I'm pretty close to ya, I'm at Dyess A.F.B here in Abilene. I sold my last stang, a sweet silver 90 GT to a guy out in Kileen, He just go medically discharged. Congrats and welcome home!
Welcome home brother.
As far as HP numbers...guessing maybe a little over 400 to the wheels? Get that sucka down the track and see what she does for times....and maybe throw it on the dyno to make sure your tune is safe...and see what the numbers are.

Welcome!
I've been browsing the site for over a year now and still don't have an L yet. I'm a newly wed with school debt from both my wife and I, along with credit debt from a previous show car build up (trying to sell the car now), so my L dreams are on the back burner. One day...

Zac,
Thank you for your service sir! I'm honered to know you even if it's just accross the web. If you make it to Round Rock some Friday or Sat. night drop by the old Wallmart (it's a RPM indoor Raceway now) I would like a chance to shake your hand.
I have close to the same mods as you (chip, long tubes, four lb pulley, but my Eaton has been ported by Apten) and my last dyno was 435/512.

Congrats friend. Welcome to the L brotherhood (sisterhood for all you ladies out there, and by all I mean about 3). It's an honor to meet you, even if it is over the internet. One of my football coaches just got back from Iraq as well, and I can only say that I have an infinite amount of respect for what all of you have done for our country. Welcome home, and have fun with the L
BTW- As far as HP is concerned, you are probably right around, if not into, the 400's. I just put mine on the dyno yesterday. Mods are in the sig, and here is the Chart. Congrats again.

I got back from a homeland defense mission a few months ago. I felt so cheap standing next to all these 18 and 19 year olds in the chow line that had just got back from Iraq. Heres the advice I gave all of them that I will give you (unless you arent active duty) If you are getting out soon and want to stay out dont join the Reserves or National Guard because you will be activated. But if you arent worried about that then come and join us.
But on the truck, congrats. I myself wanted one for a long time and I now how great it feel to finally have one. Now go out there an enjoy your freedom that you earned.
