For now, Ford Synthetic until my dealer coupon runs out, they change my oil and filter for another 2years, paid extra for it in my warranty. I guess if anything goes wrong they can't blame me.

Do searches on both topics. A whole lot of blah blah blah.

Or, here's my summary:

Oil: There is no definitive answer on brand, wieght, or change interval, other than to use synthetics (and even that is subject to debate).

Diff fluid: There is no definitive answer on brand, wieght, or change interval, other than to use synthetics.

My answer: Use the cheapest synthetics you can find, just change them frequently.

Or, listen to the blah blah blah.

Syntech 5w-30w motocraft filter.

Hey birdy, never mind the negativaty.

You just ask away, it's nice to see that new found enthusiasm.

This forum is great for just hanging out and chating about our favorite topic "L" or things that are go fast cutting edge technology.

The search button is fine for some things but there are times you just want to yak with someone and get a quick easy answer.

I think most folks understand that and for those that don't I am surprised you go to all the trouble to type something negative. It would be lots simpler to just take your chubby finger and click the Got Dam back button and go on to the next topic of your disinterest.

Gees I hope I spelled all that correctly.

LOL I write this all with a smile on my face. Ya all put up with me so I got no right to flame.

Anyone seen my preperation H ?

Mobil 1 5W30 or 0w30 and a Mobil 1 filter at 6000 mile intervals.. you may get a lot of opinions on this topic as it comes up every few weeks.. you could probably go 25,000 on a Mobil 1 oil change but we are all just to obsessive compulsive to let it go that long.

Motorcraft 5-20 blend w/ Motorcraft 820s filter. As long as you change your oil on a routine basis I don't really think it matters what brand you use.

Don't confuse bluntness with "negativaty."

Oil is not one of those subjects, because there is no answer.
