Tire swapping question.

I replaced my front tires a month ago due to a blow-out,I kept the one ''good'' tire. Now I have a small hole in my drivers side rear tire.I had someplace patch it yesterday and its still leaking,My question is..Can I place a front passenders side tire on the drivers side but in the rear?I ask in this section becouse i own a lightning and thought someone here could help out. Thanks for any info in advance.

Hey Frank sorry to hear about your tire problem. I don't think it's a good idea to swap your front right to your left rear, your tires will get messed up and might come apart. Why not use your spare in the meantime until you can get a new tire? I might have an old tire in my garage I could give you, but I can't get it to you until friday at Towers.

As long as you mount it the correct direction(directional tire) you should be fine. I assume it is not on a rim now?

Frank, give Brian at Wheel World on the Palmetto a call and tell him you know me and that I recomended him , if he has them in stock he should give you a good price under $170 for some F-1's good luck.

Yea, swapping those tires that are already mounted on rims will not be a good idea obviously. But if you take it to a tire shop and actually switch the tires only, and not the rim, and have the tread facing the right way, ur cool. Its actually good, its like rotating front to back and left to right.

Yeah the tire I have sitting is off the rim,I had it taken off when I replaced the two front tires due to a blow out.I'm hoping the tire shop will slap it on the wheel in the back and tell me its a safe bet.
