I had a sparkplug blow out on me the other day put an insert in and still having problems so I need to replace the head and needed to figure out what my options are.

Is the lightning head the same thing as regular F-150/Expedition 5.4 head and if not what is the difference.

What year is the Lightning? If it has PI heads then 99 and after f-150 5.4 will work but make certain they are PI! Did you try Timesert they have a Bigsert that seems to be the fav. I plan on doing all 8 before my build up just as precaution. they are thick walled and better than a helicoil.

What type of insert was used? I may have a fix,and I'm also in Southington.
