Problems with the L.
Having a few problems with the L maybe you guys can help.
2000 L, PSP chip, jlp ram air, 6lb lower, 90mm maf, factory tech valve body, truck track traction bars breather mod.
Went to the track after doing mods and intercooler pump failed. Went 13.6 @ 94 on 1.8 60 ft. in 55 degree weather. Didnt repair it until it got hot. Made the repair and back to the track went 13.2 @ 101.8 on a 1.8 60 ft in 90 degree weather. ET was never worse than 13.3 out of 4 passes. This seems like a low trap speed and high et to me compared to you guys with similar mods. I am aware of the oil injestion problem with these trucks. So I decided to pull the plenum and supercharger. I was shocked at the sludge and oil all over the rotor packs. This wasnt just wipe away stuff. The intercooler was oiled down also. I have disassembled the supercharger and cleaned everything and fixed the imperfections in the eaton casting. They really could do a better job with those castings before sending them out from the factory. I still need to clean the intercooler and put in a 160 thermostat. Has anyone else seen it be this filthy in the supercharger and on the rotor packs. I cant see how it could have been efficient like this. Let me Know what you guys think? Probably will have it reassembled by the end of the week and to the track on saturday. Thanks
