JLP's Air Induction Kit

I would like to hear some comments on this product. I have searched and came up with a few answers.

Does this product come with the Air filter element? It does not say on the website ... and if it does, what brand filter is it?

Thanks guys!

Yup, I just got mine. I believe it is the 12" S&B filter element. I got the non-ram air version and am making my own ram air.

I've got the JLP Forced Air on my 00. It's awesome.... noticable HP gain and alot louder blower whine. There's two different styles that JLP sells. One is just an airbox and a filter. The Forced Air is an airbox, filter, and a hose w/ scoop that mounts under the hear exchanger. The filter is one big azz KN cone. I think you'd be happy with it

Thumbs up JLP Ram Air

I've got the ram air version and I love it, picked up 1 to 2 tenths in the Q-mile.

I can't say that I noticed a big difference just for the simple reason I installed my Accufab, Ram Air, Valve Body and a bunch of others all at the same time. I have heard of some guys gaining a lb of boost with just the JLP Ram Air - that is certainly worth it in my books.

Another example is John (at JLP) has a 5lb pulley, chip and Ram air combo that recently dropped 400 hp with a very conservative tune last month on an '03.

Go for it!

D-Day

Thumbs up

I installed the Ram Air unit on my 03, and I am very happy with both the Quality and the Performance (picked up 2 tenths)
Everything fit nicely and was easy to put on. also any questions I had JLP answered and were always helpful.

I have one in my garage. It's really nice looking, but the PSP fastair is much better designed IMO. The intake temp sensor is moved to a logical location and it's also about 4lbs lighter than the JLP

JLP's set up is awesome,
as said above buy the box and filter only,

I got the original cold air kit. PSP`s Fast Air. It looks more race than the others. Two scoops feed the air filter and the fit and finish are second to none

PSP

Does the FASTair kit come with everything u need or do u have to buy the filter kit seperate. The web site is not too close or maybe it is, and my head is cloudy. I like to PSP but if u have to buy the high flow kit for $179 and the FASTair for another $200 thats kinda costly. I hope the FASTair comes with everything. Anyone have any comments or suggestions.

I have the Dual JLP Ram Air set up.

No power increase over the airaid I replaced

Sounds mean as hell!

when you turn the wheel all the way to the right it rubs against the metal tube (I have an older dual ram air version, this is no longer a problem with his new setup)

A PITA to install when you don't have directions or a fax machine.

did I mention it sounds mean as h3ll

JLP air box

I recently installed the JLP air box and ran my own 3" ducting behind the lower grill. The box is quality worksmanship and look great with the cover. Air filter is 12" S&B model. There is a noticeable increase in low end torque and the L seems to respond better due to the fresh air instead of underhood air. I think it was a wise investment
