Nitrous gauges...

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to order a triple pillar for my truck... Should I buy a nitrous pressure gauge (since I just got my Zex kit today), or should I buy the one that Zex sells, that looks like it goes on the bottle?

Is there a difference between what the two gauges will tell me?

Thanks all.

If you plan to use your nitrous alot and want to be the most consistent. I'd get the electronic N20 gauge for the pillar. You will get tired of looking in the bed or under the hood if you put the small one there. If you don't have the money for that then get the one that goes on the bottle it will work fine.

I think the electronic may be more accurate it is easier to read
1.5" vs. 2.0625"

Sweet, I do plan on using it alot. And I have a hard cover on the bed, so this would be better. Just didn't know if there was any difference between the two that I didn't know about. But if they'll both read the same, I'll definitely have one in the cab.

Now, to pick the other two...

Thanks again!

Being able to read pressure in the cabin is much better so you don't activate the kit if there is a pressure discrepancy with your jetting. The bottle mount is much cheaper and easier to install and better than nothing.

Get these three:

nitrous pressure, fuel pressure, EGT

My thoughts on gauges.

I would replace the EGT in that list with a Wide band O2 sensor.
All the EGT's I have used react way to slowly to be of any real use to protect the motor, by the time you would notice the gauge the damage may (probably) has already occured.

A decent wideband will give you a much better idea of how the truck is doing off and on the spray.

also (this is my opinion btw)

Anyone useing gauges like fuel pressure, oil pressure, egt's to ward off a potential bown motor are totally worthless unless the gauges have adjustable warning lights that are bright enough to get your attention and even then it may be too late.

Gauges can help with tuning and driveability issues and they look cool, but I cant and dont stare at my gauges when im going WOT. I do try and check the wideband for a split second while im at WOT.
