somethings wrong need help

somethings wrong need help

i took my L out and as i turned the wheel i heard a clunk i didnt think nothing of it but then as i went down the street i started moving the steering wheel left to right and you could hear something clanging. do i just need to lub up the steering stops or is it something else?

It's probably 'dry' steering stops. Dab some 'heavy' grease on them and listen for the noise again. If that doesn't fix it, you may have a loose lower bolt on the left control arm. You will need special washers to fix that. Do a 'search' on "clunk washers".

Sounds like the infamous "clunk". You probably need a set of Clunk Washers, contact Dave Lynn, $30.00, dplynn1@bellsouth.net
