Question Please help w/ Lowering Kit

I called Stylin Concepts to buy a Belltech 3/4. The guy said L's have a lowering kit already and this kit would lower the truck 3/6 because the back has a 2 drop from the factory. Told me to measure for the drop before buying. Is any of this true. Can I just buy the Belltech 3/4. Is it a good kit. Please help

If that doesn't do it, try a "search entire posts" search.

With the Belltech 3/4 Kit a Lightning you will only get a 2/3 drop because the kit was made for a regular F150, Lightnings come stock with a 1 inch drop. The Bell Tech 3/4 Kit is very good, I've had it on my Lightning for 4 years no problems!

AmoJohnny, That is not a 2/3 drop! My Lightning has the Bell Tech 3/4 with Western Chassis 2 inch Lower A-arms.

basically the easiest thing to do is ask for pictures of the different kits installed on actual Lightnings... that way you can be sure you get the look you want.

3/4 drop

Im actually wanting to go down another inch up front to get the "rake" back....but not for a while...too much other stuff to do.

a 3/4 kit levels the truck's body perfectly...the difference in the fenders front to back makes it appear a little higher up front IMO....but no one but me sees it ....well maybe TampaBlack does

Konig, You are so right about the 3/4 kit looking like the front is higher than the rear and rear always looks like you are carrying a load. That is why I installed the 2 inch lower A-arms.

So you have a 2" coil and the A-arms then? Your rear almostr looks lower than mine in that pic..but maybe because its black.

Konig, Are rear ends should look the same I have a 4 inch drop in the rear. I lowered the front with the 2 inch lower A-arms & 3 inch coils to bring the front lower! Because the stance with just the 3/4 looked like was always carry a load! Or maybe, I have 20 inch rims with 45 series tires which fills out my fender wells better.

so Im guessing you only get 1" of actual drop from the A-arms ?

I need to do it...just cant justify the dough when I have so much other stuff going on at the moment.

No! You will get 2" or more. Because the a-arms lower the spring pocket, it does not matter what size springs are in there already.

IC ... that would make sense

You don’t have to be forceful Timmy, sometimes I just don’t think hard enough about my questions before asking ...it’s blatantly obvious to me now
