Trac Bars & 60' times??

What traction bar is everyone running with their slicks?? And more importantly, what is your best 60' time??

For me, it's Truck Traks and 1.91, with slicks

Is that with slicks or drag radials?

My best 60' times with just Drag Radials is 1.85 at a pretty good track.

Since the addition of truck traks my best 60' time is 1.88. I still haven't ran at a decent track since I added the bars, and I still think I don't have the bars adjusted correctly.

The best 60ft timeslip that I can find on F1s is a 1.76

so far, on Hoosier 28x10.5x15 slicks a 1.63

JDM traction bars, IMHO I bought them more to prevent snapping a driveshaft than for traction.

they are a well made (sturdy) product, but do bang on my increasingly chitty JDM exhaust (rusted, leaking, and broken cats) and the front brackets hang pretty low, I have scraped them several times, and I had to buy an extra set of brackets because I mangled one pretty badly.

even though they are strong, they won't hold up do being dragged and squished over a sharp driveway by a 5000lb truck many times before they give up.

I just tried going to the track after putting on some 58"er's with my new Hoosiers 28x10x16 and could only muster 2.2ish 60ft...
I need to be educated in lauchin!

Stock Suspension 1.81 with Nittos, 1.84 with Stock F1s.

I don't see how I can get any better unless I add more power. I'm nailing it to the floor off idle and it hooks and goes. I don't see how slicks would improve my 60fts.

12.77@105 is my best so far.

I would consider traction bars a way to stop wheel hop and therefore driveshaft brakeage.

you are right, seems more for saving the drive shaft

on giving days, i was cutting the same on nitto's as slicks

i was cutting 1.70's on both at atco

launch

how are you guys launching. I've got the JDM rancho bars. With f1's, hoosier qtp's and nittos........i still haven't broke lower then a 1.90. Trying to find out what my issue is as we speak, just don't know. I've been told it's the 355 gears with 28" tires. Gonna try some et streets next before i swap gears.

I tried ripping from an idle to pushing it to just before stall and still no luck Even on prepped tracks.
