Sorry it took me a couple of days to respond, I have been away from a computer.
Actually, I think the leather is much more durable than the cloth was. It seemed like the fake suede fabric was showing some wear and it also seemed to be getting discolored a bit on the side of the drivers seat.
Anyway, the leather I used was not the really soft, plush leather you would find on an old Caddy but kind of a thicker leather like in a Porsche.

I had my last f-150 seats done in leather, but it only took about 1 1/2 years before it was cracking all over.... I tried everything to prevent it... so I never considered it too much for the L, I know I saw someone do a set in black leather a year or two ago....dont remember who...but it was a silver truck
