Heh, thanks

I cannot recall the actual price but it was a little over $1100.00.

They have a coupon now for 2 free upgrades. Remote lock and some interior stuff...

Nobody wants their kids hurt but somewhere the line has be drawn between being **** and having fun. I say keep the kids in the house at all times if you want to greatly reduce their chance of being in a traffic related accident.

It's a small wonder my daughter made it to her 18th birthday today. As an infant she rode in my wife's Grand National with the car seat in the front passenger seat facing forward. I guess we were frickin' idiots but that's the way it was done back then.

My daughter has been driving a convertible GT for the past year. Man, I really need my a$$ kicked.

sorry

but a shell doesn't belong on these trucks. Absolutely ruins it IMO. Might as well put a brush guard and mudflaps.

should have bought a harley instead of a Lightning

I have honestly never considered a bedrug, until I just read that about having sex in the back.

Hm...

And you know what, if you want to throw a camper on the truck, do it. Every day, or just once in a while... Who cares, it's your truck. If you want your kids back there, that's your choice. You know the dangers. *shrugs* I'll have my kids back there too, if I ever have any.

Heck, some of those campers don't look half bad. Easterisland, no offense, but yours looks like a$$...but like I said, who cares? It's convenient, it works for what you need it for...

I think in the end this goes back to our L versus the SRT-10, and all those times we've shouted about their tow rating, and how you can't even use it as a truck.

Well, there you go. The L is an awesome vehicle, and it's a truck. Some trucks have campers.

Maybe I'm just really wrong, but that's my thought.

I also forgot I can have sex in the bed of my truck in the rain w/o getting too wet. It also makes my truck more stable at higher speeds.

I say to each his own, survival of the fittest (smartest) etc. but for my family, it will be a passenger vehicle that is designed to transport people not plywood. No riding in the back for my children EVER. I know that the chances of having a serious accident are low but it is not a chance that I am willing to take with my children's lives. I have felt the horror of my child stop breathing in my arms, and it is not a nice feeling. My children’s safety always comes first.

IMO, no one will ever be safe until we get rid of cars and trucks period. Even then some people will still trip and kill themselves.

The linked thread was posted in General Discussion. I think it fits some people's reasoning in this thread

Ask Jim from JDM what happens when you have an70'F-100 towing a 32' trailer and the rear craigers break(not to be used for towing).Jim and I were in the back of the truck(with cap). The truck rolled onto it's side and into a gaurdrail. The cap stayed on and no one was hurt(luckily). When the wheels broke the lift bars that connect the trailer to the receiver actually held up the rear of the truck so there was no control. This was back in 72'.Happened on 495 near Haverhill Mass.(Don you know where that is).
