There are electrical fuel pressure gauges where there is no need to run a fuel line into the vehicle.

Sounds like the high pressure pump. This exact thing happened to me last summer on my 03. Couldn't move the throttle more than an inch as it would stall out. New pump went in.

I'm almost wondering with some folks getting the hard start issue if it is a sign that their pump is going?

Wondering if this problem effects all years of Lightning, is it Lightning specific?
Seems many have or will have this problem.

8UR LS1 Yeah I have the electronic sender type fuel pressure gauge as most people here do. Gas lines in the truck would be a big no no for me. I don't smoke but even so that sounds way to dangerous for my liking.
