I think there is a silver lining with price of gasoline and that is it could create a buyers market for both new and used L's. I appreciate all the information and I think I am still going to go for it and find myself a great deal. I have seen several recently but I had not made my mind up then. Thanks again.

Leeann, start looking around for any left over 2003 models. They ran rebates on them and you can still get a good deal on one. I had a 2003 offered to me in Tennessee for 25,950, but it was sold by the time I got back with him. You should be able to get an 03 model for 26 to 27k. Being summer will hold some prices, so you may have to wait for winter since most people don't want a 2wd in winter. Good luck.
