Unhappy weird noise after heavy boosting

when the truck is raced or boosted up to 14 lbs it makes a weird noise like its releasing some sort of pressure, sort of like a real noisy power steering pump when u turn the wheel all the way in one direction. shortly after the noise goes away and the truck no longer makes the noise

some one local said it could be a bad PCV valve

although it hasnt gottin worse (or better) im still very consurned

anyone had this problem before?

Never heard of that one before. But the PCV is a good place to start.

Could it be belt slippage?

Hey guys-

if it sounds like a "fog horn" or a "honking" noise, it's probably your IAC.

When you're wide open then shut the throttle, your IAC will kick in to help the truck idle, among other uses.

It seems when these go bad, that's the sound they make and it's during that particular circumstance when it shows (sounds)

Clean it, or replace it...either way, piece of cake fix.

Keep us posted!
