Hey Chuck, i installed my TR6's today (1 1/2 hours =getting better) but am sad to say that the L is still studdering between 80-90mph. But the plugs were worth a shot. What else could possibly cause this? I've done the fuel filter and plugs. I'm starting to think that it's the custom Predator tune. Any parameters i can modify on my own to fix. I race this Thursday so i don't have time to get another tune. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Since you have a Predator retard the timing all the way back (- 10%). That should pull about 1 1/2 - 2 degrees of timing. See if that makes a difference.

I tried what you said. It didn't work so i went the other way with it to see what would happen. Advanced the timing 10% (little at a time) and leaned out the fuel by 8%. Runs perfect, but i'm going to get another custom tune from someone else. I run tomorrow for the first time since modding. Any ideas what to expect? Last year i ran a 13.9@99mph w just a Bassani catback. Now i have Bassani headers, predator tune, 4#lower, JLP forced air, and Lakewoods. 12's in reach? Thanks again for your help

I was able to run a 13.1 last year with only a 2lb lower, Basanni catback, chip, FTVB, and rancho bars on f1's, so I'd say you should be able to hit the high 12's with a good launch no problem.

Have you datalogged with the Predator to see what your timing is doing at WOT?

That's interesting that it needed more timing and less fuel. It sounds like you might be pig rich. You are lucky that it didn't damage a cat being that rich.

It is hard to say what you will run without knowing where you are located and how hot it is there. Was the 13.9 ran at the same temp and conditions?

Yeah it sure was rich, you should see the soot that is all over the exhaust tips. I'm in North Carolina and it's hot as hell here this week. Really humid, but i ran the 13.9 under the same conditions. Too bad it's supposed to rain tomorrow, we'll see. Anyway, i'll let you guys know what happens

O.K. i ran last night = WTF? The tune was acting up again. First and second gears full like a madman and then it lays down in third. My first run was a 13.6 @ 95mph.... that's right 95mph! SH*t! I trapped at 99mph stock. However, my 60' was a 2.0 and my 1/8 was a 8.6. That should prove that it's not my launch and it's a 3rd gear problem.

Last night was alittle embarrasing, but i'll get it right. Today, i called another tuner about a Predator tune. I'm sure that'll fix it. Anyway, just wanted to let you know what happened.
