Just installed it today and all I know for numbers is that it goes up when warming the engine and cools down when I ice the powercooler. I have not had enough seat time to do any type of temperature logging. The sensor you use is under the radiator cover on the driverside. It's mounted on the core support. You can get another sensor from Ford and use a switch to retain an outside temp reading if you desire. I did not go this route at this time. All you need to make it work is get a 3/8" tee and some close 3/8" nipples or some with the barbs...The hose that I tied into was the return hose coming out if the IC. Cut about 2" out of that hose. Get some 18 gauge wire about 4 foot for each lead. Cut the stock sensor off with about a foot or so of wire left on it. Connect your leads to the sensor leads and thread the sensor into the tee...(threads are the same). Now route the other end of those leads through and around the radiator and tie them into the stock wires that were left hanging after you cut the sensor off. I used that 3/8" black tubing to cover the wires and everything looks stock. After your done with routing the wire loom you can zip tie it to numerous locations under the radiator cover... Insert the tee into the stock return hose that you cut and tighten down the 2 hose clamps that you will need for it. Reinsatll the radiator cover and your done...Hope this helps...
