Need help figuring out which chip I have.

I purchased my 99 a few weeks ago. They said it was "chipped" but didn't remember the manufacturer. Where do I look for the chip at? What am I looking for?

Passenger side kick panel, stick your head up in there and the chip will be in the side of the puter..

The cpu is the silver box in your picture, the chip plugs into a plug that is on the front of it. when you look under the dash at the cpu the chip should be facing you. Its kinda hard to tell from your picture exactly what part of it your looking at but from that angle it doesnt appear that you have one. It should be pretty obvious and easy to find.
after a closer look the black rectangle with the silver tabs/screws or what ever they are looks like it is probably the chipp but havent ever seen one like that. It should pull out and unplug though so you can get a better look at it and see if there is a label or anyting on the other side of it.

Just be sure to disconnect your battery (-) cable first! It's good insurance.
