What kinds of gains can i expect out of race gas, if any? Higher trap speeds? Less chance of detonation? How much do you mix? Thanks in advance for your opinions

 

I think you'd be wasting your money on race fuel, unless your truck is tuned for it.....JR...

 

No I dis-agree. A nice 25% 100 octane unleaded to 75% sunoco 94 octane definately gives me some gains. Just about a 0.15 or so on avg. Best part is it helps to fight off detonation.

I've tried everything from straight 93 octane, 94 octane, 100 octane and just about every mix in between 93 - 100. A 25% - 75% mix gives me the best trap speeds.

(btw: I was dyno tuned on (& for) 93 octane)
