Will 2004 L's be sold out soon?

Now that 2004 production is ending early, will the supply on lots dry up soon? What will happen afterward to fill the void until the new model emerges.

To tell you the truth I sure in the hell don’t know…

When I first heard about the Lightning changing and seeing the prototype (I don’t really care for the exterior styling, just me) and heard it might be high $30k to $40k plus I knew I had to act FAST!

Long story short when I started looking my local dealer had 6 2003 Lightning’s on the lot and was selling them for $28k. This was last October and they had a sonic blue that I wanted. I wasn’t able to finally buy it until February 2004. They still had the sonic blue, 3 other 03’s and 4 04’s.

I would think as word gets out that there is no more Lightning’s until sometime around 2007 and the 04 is the last for this body style “Gen II” they might go quick especially if the dealers are dealing the way they are now…

just saw in the paper

first of all, there is a bunch of svt dealers around here in the boston area, and you NEVER see them advertise SVT products in their add. Once in a great while you will see a used truck advertised but that's it.

Well I noticed two different dealerships advertising them at 29,500 and 29,900 with 3% financing. Dealers around here are impossible to budge for less than 30k unless they are looking to move inventory and now they are trying to give the trucks away. One of the salesman told me sales are so horrible he was gonna have to look for a new job soon if they didn't pick up.

if it is anything like back in 95,they might be sitting around for awhile.I remember seeing 95s in 96 for sale.Specially with the MISINFORMED public thinking that the new "Lightning with 500 hp" will be out sooner than it will be .Especially with the new body style, they are lucky the Lightning is such a good truck because the " 2004 heritage editions" are not selling so good
