First evaluation of my new BTS tranny

Been driving the L for about a little bit now and I gotta say, I'm very happy with the shifts and feel of my new built BTS tranny.
Not too hard but yet you feel it.
Very good for my daily drives to work.

I was very apprehensive about getting a built tranny because my stock one was still running and shifting fine with just the line mod (25,000 miles and a lot of 1/4 mile passes), but I knew eventually it would start to go with all the H.P. the L is dishing out and also I might be towing the Cobra to some FFW events.

Gotta say with the P.I. converter and built BTS tranny the L drives just like it always did.

2 mods I can Highly recommend.

Vinnie, I totally agree. Had mine for about 6000 miles. Shifts around town are smooth and at the strip it will snap your neck.

A couple reasons.

First that is what Jim had at the shop at the time.(Convenience)

Second , I have read a lot of good things about the BTS tranny on this and other sites (Deiselstop) were the trannies are holding up to 1500 ftlbs of torque.

I have nothing against the monster box. At one time I even bought the "monster in a box" kit. But decided against building one and get one already built.

Its nice to have so many choices BTS, Moster Box, Level 10.

Is there any differance between the tranny in the Lightning and the Super Duty? If not I may just grab the one from the SD at the wrecks. Rollover, about 25K miles. Lightly used, no towing, because it has no hitch setup on it. Thats a little weird, but who cares.
