Anyone point me in the direction of a good Oil Change How-To Thread? Cousin just bought a F150 and is attempting it for the first time. I cant really describe it for him. Thanks Jim

Put drain pan under truck, remove oil pan drain plug-drain oil, reinstall oil drain plug, remove oil filter, fill new filter with oil-install, fill truck with oil , and your done.

Changing oil in these trucks is no different than most other vehicles.

If he's 17 and never touched a car or truck, he needs to find one of the million people who have to guide him through it. If you do a search in the "engine" section, there's already a million posts on this procedure including pictures.

might want to pre-fill the New oil filter before putting it on to keep from running the engine dry for a couple seconds after fire up.

Show him how by doing it once for him in front of him.
He is family, and it takes 5-10 min.
