Need help with Chip Tune!

Hey All,

I purchased a 2001 L already somewhat modified. The Truck has a 4# lower pulley and a JDM Superchip FlipChip.

What I don't know is whether or not I can run both tunes of the chip on pump gas or if one tune is for race gas only! I've only run the street tune thus far. Should I contact JDM and find out for sure? How would they be able to tell? I really don't want to have to ship the chip to them and wait to get it back.

Can JDM maybe find out if I told them who ordered the chip?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Just want to play it safe!

I believe you just answered your own question.
Yes, I would call JDM as they programmed the chip. I am sure that Jim keeps a file on each customer he tunes for, and should have no problem telling you what you want to know. I wouldn't be surprised if there is not a number written on the compter side of the chip either. Most I have seen have been identified in this manner.
But then again, why not just ask the person who owned the truck?

Thanks! I asked the previous owner of the truck and he did say that he ran the truck on the race tune on pump gas, however, I just want to play it safe then to be sorry later.

I will give JDM a call on monday! I don't think they are open today!

Thanks again!
