Props to Stan Martin !!!

Thanks Stan,

Everything arrived last night !!! 1200 Pounders, and
the rear calipers. I need to find someone to powdercoat
the springs now.

Great service considering I ordered them last week and
you hadn't even made them !!!

1200 #'s? Is that kinda like wrapping a paperclip around a pencil? He could do that sitting at the kitchen table!

Is there a shock made that will handle that?

alphadoggie cautioned me that powder coating the springs may be detrimental to the heat treating. Dunno, just thought that I would pass on the concern.

My 1,100 Ruslows came with some sort of coating on them. I just cleaned them well and shot a can of silver appliance epoxy on them. But rust is not a huge concern here in SoCal.

Sorry Tim but Alpha is wrong. Powder coating does not get near hot enough for long enough to screw up the heat treating of the springs. My paint shop told me that for a spring the size that goes in our truck, powder coating would require about 40 minutes at 400 degrees. I just called my heat treater (high school football buddy) he confirmed that 400 degrees for 40 minutes will not screw up the spring!

I've talked to Stan personally as we live in the same area. I first met him at the National Shelby convention (mid-america shelby meet) in Tulsa, OK when I found out that he lived so close to me.

Cool Guy!

Glad everthing made it there.I was lucky enough to be able to get on the cnc sat and sunday to get the rotors done. Now he is swamped and has asked me to help him get caught up.So it will more than likely be a few weeks before I am able to use it again. That is for ruslow performance.[I will be on it making molds and brackets for same.]Stan

Just so we are clear here, alpha only raised it as a concern, not as a matter of fact, so it's not quite fair to call him "wrong."
