Lightning floor mats

Anyone here have L floor mats from the chicken man, I've barely had mine a month and they have been falling apart since day one. All the carpet fibers are just falling out, especially were my right heel rest, I swear it's on it way to having a bald spot. Kind of sucks for how much they cost and all. Anyone having this problem??

i am not pleased with them either. i think because people on the board get quite a few things from him, they have not based their true opinions. they are not as good as the original equipment mats, and they do not stay in place either. i will try to go to the auto parts store, and buy some clips to hold them in place. maybe we got a bad batch. i saw a place on ebay that makes lightning mats that is here in georgia, but i have already spent to much on these to buy more. i was disapointed to say the least.

Unless you really need the mats to say Lightning I would go and order a set of '02 Navigator mats. As you know starting with '03 L's the mats and carpet are from the Navigator. I've had my mats for about a year and besides needing to clean the drivers, they virtually show no wear at all.

Obviously check for fit first but my matts sure look like the same dimensions as our '00 Expy.

Had my mats for a while and no problems here either. They look as good as the day I got them and my L is a daily driver. I would definitely give Tim a call.

Hey ND4SPD do you get out to the Abilene drag strip much? I'm from Anson and I usually go to the track when I visit my family. Next time I head that way I will give you a shout, maybe we can hook up at the track.

Yeah give me a shout anytime, my email is stang95gts@juno get with me I go out there quite a bit and I will be on day shift for a while so I will be able to go out there when ever I want now, I've been on swings for a long time so I usually have to play it by ear.

Fast Gator, those are what I was expecting, the ones I have are a differnt type of carpet and it's really easy for the fibers to come out, maybe I'll be getting with Tim to see what he can do.

Those where the mats FordSales got for us in a group buy a few years ago. They are holding up great! But, He doesn't do it anymore, thats why Tim stepped up and got the mats. Iam sure he will do the right thing.
Good Luck getting the problem resolved

on the subject of floor mats, when I was at the track a week ago this guy and I were talking, he had a brand new SS chevy truck. Anyway he had these awesome floor mats. It was one big one and not two seperate ones, his went over the center and had an SS stiched into it. It looked sweet and it was the carpet like you have fast gator. I think the L would look sweet with that kind of floor mat with a nice Lightning stitched in the center. I wish I would have taken a pic, I know it may be a little hard to picture what I am saying unless you have seen it.

Yeah, unfortunately I think I know exactly what you mean: You can rub your hand across the whole mat and come up with a kinda' fur ball ?

Mine are starting to show a wear mark where my heel rests as well.

I wish they had the little pointy things on the back - mine slip all over the place, except for the 1 corner clipped down on the driver's side.
