Ran a Hemi

A white Dodge with a loud sounding exhaust and the word HEMI in big letters on the bed. We get to a light together and he looks over at me and revved his motor. I think to myself “why not?”. Light turns green and he nails it. I follow suit and by the end of first gear I am ½ a car length in front (remember I took off second). By the end of second gear I was about 1.5 cars ahead and still pulling away. I shut down after I was about 2 cars on him (Early in 3rd gear) since there was no point in risking anything further. If I would have taken off at the same time as him I would have been a good 4 car lengths on him by the start of 3rd. Oh did I mention I was in the GrandPrix GTP? You didnt think I was in the L did you?

Nice trucks...but not fast what so ever

I think all the guys who own them and think they are fast, should take one trip to the local track for a humbling lesson in what "fast" really is.

I would schit a brick if I saw a "HEMI RAM" beat anything

I had a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP up until last year when I sold it for an Escape. Anyway, they are quick cars and I had a smaller pulley on the supercharger. The GP rumor forums say that Pontiac might put out a Grand Prix GXP in the next few years with a V8 and rear wheel drive. If they do, then I would be interested again as the other car.

Hey guys, I thought you would get a lauch out of that story. I was driving the wifes GTP. I have and air intake and 3.4 pulley for the blower sitting at home but never had the time to install them yet. (1 year later LOL)
