I think you should do like Brian suggested. Measure the pullies to see what you've got. I have a 4# lower and a port job and I'm seeing just under 15 LBS of boost.

the easiest way to check (if you dont have drag radials)

at 20mph stand on the gas quick if the tires break loose and spin like crazy you got that much boost

The ECU could have been flashed and you wouldn't know. The only way you're running that much more boost is if the pulleys aren't stock, the blower is ported, or both.

Or you could have a banana in the tailpipe, or something.

Banana! Well I I know my tires won't break loose from a 20 mph roll but damn close so maybe my guage is reading wrong. I'm going to take it to the track this weekend and get some 1/4 mile times and see where I'm at with this. I just need to know where I stand before I mod this thing out. Thanks for all the input guys!

WELCOME DAVE AND CONGRATS ON THE LIGHTNING

As everyone already said, you most likely have a caged aftermarket lower pulley set up. And the previos owner simply pulled the chip. Many run up to 4lbs of extra pulley without a chip. Which by the way would explain why you CAN'T do smokeys from a nice roll (the chip along with a pulley and filter finishes the package and really wakes that bad boy up)

Cut a good 60ft, bring us back an ET, and we'll tell you if it's stock
OR NOT
BEST OF LUCK WITH THE L

JDM use to sell a 2, 4, 6 lb lowr pulley that would press on the stock lower cage. Id mesure it to see what you have. The stock upper is 2.93 and common upper sizes are 2.85, 2.8, 2.78,2.75
