Schitt, I'll race a Grandmother in a Caravan if she want's to go.
But then again here in NY they took each and every track away from us 1 by 1. So it's street race or drive out of state and spend Hundreds on Gas , Tolls, Prep, etc. All to make a pass. The funny part is we have tens of thoudsands of hot rods around the area but the paid off polititions are too busy taking money under the table and making so many restrictions up on the tracks that they loose their NHRA standings, IHRA, and then end up closing.

Unfortunatly I'd be lieing if I said I haven't been street racing for close to 30 yrs now, but I do pick and choice wisely, you know, Metro's, Civic's, S-10's etc... and since we have no choice, I will continue to, until I'm a Grandfather myself.

As much as I truly hate to say this, someday some of the *******s that had something to do with all the track closings will loose their child street racing, AND THEY WILL HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES. AMOF they just turned down plans for a F-1 Track in NY, a 1/4 Mi Track, and an oval on what I believe is quite possibaly thee last piece of property left to do it on.

When you street race you will go across a set of railroad tracks just before the train comes and when you think you are out of danger a friggin 18wheeler will come out of nowhere and clip your frontend sending you down the road UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! If you are lucky the person that you were racing against will owe you a 9 second car. He may give you the one he was racing against you in for you to make your gettaway from the authorities. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU STREETRACE. If you don't believe me you need to see the documentary on this very subject.

 

You are so lucky to just get a speeding ticket.

Last year I got pulled over for racing also. I got charged for going 90 on a 25 (not a regular public street by the way and at 2:00am), he also charged me for illegal street racing ofcourse. I also got charged for not having my drivers license with me. Anyways, it was a 27 point ticket and the lightning got taken away from me, my license got suspended for a year and I also had to go to a class about careless driving.

 

yeah, also when you street race, you tend to throw rods...of course, im not talking about anybody in particular....Bad WRX, Bad.....


i approve of street racing and think everyone should do it at every chance they get...especially if they have one eye
