I just installed the Bassani catback...

and I really thought it was going to be louder. Does it get louder over time? And is it supposed to have a funny smell as it breaks in? Its a quality peice of hardware but I am mildly disappointed with the volume.

Gets a little louder, and yes the smell is normal. It never gets as loud as the magnaflow, but it has a nice mild rumble.

It sounds like Bassani is the exhaust for me, don't want the truck too loud.

The best way to describe the sound is mellow. Once the smell goes away, you'll notice that it's a bit louder as well.
