I need to get this fixed up and back on the road ASAP as my other car is down with no brakes right now. HELP PLEASE.

Welcome to the club. I did the same thing. There should be four ***** total. Two large and two small. I will look for the diagram and post a link. I originally got pics from the vendor who sold me the FTVB. In order to reinstall the ***** I used lithium grease to hold them inplace. Make sure you let it drain before reinstalling. Back in a few minutes.

Mine leaves smokeys hitting 2nd,
are you sure your fluid level is correct, you need to check it and re check it a few times after driving it. I don't think you'll find anyone complaining it's too soft, it's always the opposite.
Glad you got it all back together and all is working Chris,
Now go beat that sucker like you stole it, and keep us informed on the 1 to 2 shifting.

How many miles do you have on the transmission, Chris?

Give it a few days and put some miles on it. If it doesn't improve, let me know and I'll ship you another one, even if you didn't buy it from me.

WOW

Could this board start returning to it roots, where members were actually helping one another with problems?

Instead of all the pi$$intg contests that seem to be the rage lately.......... I certainly hope so.

Glad you got the pan buttoned back up Chris. I almost did the same thing, but I stopped to drink a beer and look over at what I was doing So see, drinking is good for you....LOL

And how bout that customer service from the ChikenMan
Thats why I refer many people to him, even people without Lightning's

And back before a certain two members started going back and forth with some pretend grudge match that seems to come into every thread via WASP king? hehe

I agree mine is almost annoying in everyday traffic. I still love it though.

The truck has almost 30k miles on it now. As far as I know it was stock until I bought it at 21k miles. I didnt do any mods til 25k miles and all it has done right now is JLP CAI, BIllet Flow TB, FTVB, and 4x4 pan. I did buy the FTVB from you Tim. I dont want it to sound like I am laying any blame on you, I know its not your fault. I have email Gregg Evans on about this to see if he has any ideas. Im not really upset about how it works, just wondering why it dont hit like everyone says it hits.

Also, my trans took just over 7 quarts since I took the wrong piece off at first. I also had to use a bit of lithium grease to hold the ***** into the worm trails (gravity sux). I am thinking some of this grease might be stil in there and blocking up the flow on shift. Im not 100% sure, but it is a possibility. I now have about 30 miles on since the install and while the shift is a bit firmer, its still not close to what all of you are saying. Fluid is at the top of the cold mark last time I checked (it was cold when I checked but running).. I have some stuff to do today so I will drive it hard and see what the level is after the beat down. I will also let you all know if gregg has any ideas for those of you that are having the same issues.

Chris
