Obviously not selling very well even at 0% financing.

I still remember when they came out and the dealer wouldn't even give me an oil change and told me that SVT prevented them from discounting it. Lol

Darn fine suggestions when the money decides to find its way into my pocket.

rainman15, what did fix your vibration problem?

I hope the humming noise from the radio isn't the build in fan! I doesn't really sound like a fan noise and it comes on even when just listening to the radio. We’ll see I guess.

Thanks the the replies guys!

If it sounds like a fuel pump on a cold morning then yes it is your built-in cooling fan for the radio. Get the dealer to get you a new one. Good luck.

Well, the noise is the fan from the radio. I don't get why it would be different from a regular cd player. It's not doing more work and it comes on when listening to the radio. They're giving me the bulletin saying it’s normal and they’re not going to replace it. Now just waiting on the important part, the vibration…

Perhaps mine is abnormal since it doesn’t make any noise. Maybe I should visit my dealer and get a normal one that does make noise…

Ask you dealer if it is normal then why do some make NO noise at all…

They never completely fixed the vibration problem, though it isn't as bad now. I rotate the tires about every 3k miles. I have 17k on the truck now, and still have better than half tread on the F1's, which have about 15k miles on them. (replaced at 2800 miles by dealer) I've noticed the two I have on the front right now seem to be the bad ones because I feel the vibration in the steering wheel when they are up front, and the center console shakes when they are on the rear. Haven't been able to pursue it further because I moved up north, had to park the truck all winter because I live in snow hell, and the dealerships up here are total *******s. They say vibration is normal with "performance vehicles". Funny my twin turbo Supra didn't shake, nor did my other L, my HD Screw, none of my 13 F-Body's, none of my 6 fox body's, my RX7, neither of my Vette's, etc etc etc. Typical dealership blowoff tactic.

Hey guys,
Let me clear up my first statement. They didn't take out the drive train, they took out the drive SHAFT. Of course it's balanced and they're going to try a couple of other things...

I have the vibration issue as well... I got the above BS..

Still have the vibration. But its getting worse, so I think it may be the wheels causing the tires to round wrong.

They took off the drive shaft, sent it to another company and had it balanced. There is a definite improvement but still a little vibration. They called the Ford rep and got approval to replace the tires. Hopefully this will clear it up. The sad part is the tires only have 780 miles on them!

They gave me the bulletin regarding the humming noise from the radio. Bulletin number 17656 and the title is 2002-2004 F-150 – CD or CD6 Radio Overheating. The only important sentence from it is:
A whirring or humming noise from the center dash area may be heard and is considered as normal operation.
Good job Ford, that’s what people want to hear. Instead of fixing it, say it’s normal. At least they didn’t say vibration in the steering wheel is normal. Time to use the search button and find a good head unit for our trucks I guess.
