Thumbs up power suggestions

OK I want a little more power than I currently have now. Right now I have: a diablo signle program chip, 4lber, jlp ram air, traction bars and ds loop, magnaflow exhaust, nitto drags, and other minor stuff like spark plugs etc. Its a 99 the intercooler was just done before the winter. So heres the questions.
I want something with 2 programs for street and track. Should I go with predator/SCT programmer or a flip chip 2 or 4. Since I only have a 80mm MAF would a 95mm or a stock 90 be more beneficial? I was also thinking about whether I should juts get a bigger pulley or get the blower ported? I really dont want to buy a whole new blower for what I will be using it for.

Does anyone have a stock 90mm MAF or larger they want to sell?

What are the price differences in each vendors blower porting?

Thanks

That's alot of questions.

No matter what I'd suggest a 90mm mass air, and then as far as adding power goes... what exactly are you after? On the street "punch"? Or on the track ETs? (low rpm torque - or - high rpm HP)

At these levels of power a guy just about can't go wrong improving traction either..

well I figured I was gonna need a bigger MAF. At the track Im just looking for decent ET's if anything. Like anywhere in the mid 12 range. I am pretty much covered as far as traction other than slicks.

What about the programmers or chip and the blower?

Cool

The reason I asked was that a ported blower only really pays off in the upper rpms. Where-as a 6# lower would give you everyday driving improvements.

As far as the tuning.. I firmly believe in one and only one method. A live dyno tune. Yeah it costs more and yeah it may be a hassle to travel for some. But the end results are amazing. I've out run SOOO many people with more mods & 6# pulleys because of it.

Just my 2 cents, Rich

a dyno tune is possible but around here I have no idea who I would trust to do so. This still means I will need a track side and a street side to a chip. So should I get a chip or a programmer, what are the benefits of the programmers.

Only 4 hour drive to PSP,

I drove 5 hours to JLP for my 1st dyno tune. Worth every penny.

I can give you a little insight regarding a "local" L w/ a predator custom tune and another w/ flip chip type custom tune....(neither has been dyno tuned yet).. the owner of the predator wants the "flip chip" tune in his truck,, both are from same vendor. I am not saying this is typical but just this case,,, if you want I can arrange to have both trucks available for your thoughts!!! Goodluck!!!!!
I say get a flip chip and put what you save towards a dyno session!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, I'm the "local" L.
I can say that I've had reservations about the predator tune.

Look into this first, as there have been many posted probs with the predator itself, and predator software is suspect. No issues with tuners here.... rather that the predator software is fairly new, and is maybe suspect compared to tride and true chip tuning!

Just a thought... good luck!

Jon I will be seeing you soon, I will drop by and we can discuss that. I think I will probably go with the flip chip because its more geared towards the simplicity im looking for.

About the MAF for sale I will let you know.

Thanks guys
