IAT and it's use in tuning
Hey just a quick question for tuners mostly. I always thought that on a stock pcm program (dunno about other tunes) the IAT was used to advance and .. . deadvance(whats the word?) timing depending on air conditions. I heard from another tuner that it's only function was to help determine, along with other sensors, how much egr to use. Now i thought egr was based on DFPE and o2's but I'm probably uneducated on this matter. Any info appreciated.
BTW, if someone happens to know what the range of the IAT is and what it's measures are (ohms im guessing) that would be nice too. Thanks
