HI!... CRASH : That vid is from WINDSOR here just around the corner from my house. The guy in the modded SUPRA comes to our SAT night car shows all the time. The FERRARI owner is a old friend of mine and comes down my street all the time to visit his mother.

If I WERE to go with a *SINGLE* turbo set-up it would be with the T-76. The built 5.4 I'm currently building can handle 1100H.P. I want to push it to that.

....... twin turbo's would be nicer.

HI!... CRASH/SKID : Ya I've seen those intakes before. With they made the (CARB) style one for a 5.4 2-valve. I built my own and it looks alot like the REICHARD RACING one. Only I have a slightly larger plenum to accomidate a 132mm oval TB.

My built engine is currently on hold for a month or two. Got to do some body work. Just bought a new front bumper, two new fenders, new grill surround, bumper cap and grill. Next week I pick up my new CERVINI's 3 inch cowl induction hood. A few more weeks I'm ordering a "03" F-150 STX lower front valance, but I might have a line on a HD lower valance for real cheap. Then it all has to get painted and back to the built 5.4.

HI!... CRASH : I sent you a e-mail via truck world. Did you get it?

If I decide to go with a single turbo kit, is it possible to upgrade to the T-76GTS turbo and the GREDDY bypass valve, but I don't need the injectors, maf, oil filter relocation kit. Can the FMU be removed with a proper SCT programmed chip?

Yes the FMU can be removed.

I am currently working on the tune for the 90mm maf and 42# injectors. Got the base tune dialed in. Now working on the more complex tunes such as EGR delete etc.

I kinda feel responsible as the starter of this thread to warn anyone who may have ordered a PTK kit for their car/truck because of this thread that these guys may be less than honest. Especially when it comes to delivery dates...
Just to bring it to the attention Dalton and Keith took my $1992 deposit for a turbo kit and after 8.5 weeks haven't even started my turbo kit(it was supposed to be delivered to me in 6-8 weeks) and refuse to return my money. For intents and purpose they have stolen my money. I really hope that they don't do the same with Big Fan and Crash!...

HI!... CRASH : I think you mis-understand me. I'm just going to use the 90mm MAF and 42LB injectors for initial tuning and set-up. Probably run it at 8-10 PSI for awhile. Truck is getting tubbed and 4- link installed late this fall. Custom built aluminum fuel cell with -10 s/s braided lines and AN fittings. Also going larger fuel rails and a complete AEROMOTIVE fuel system. Fuel pump is good for over 1000H.P on a NON - N/A application. Working on a custom 100MM MAF also. I'm not screwing around anymore. SHE WIL "GO' or she will "BLOW". lol! no pun intended. lol!

Thanks for the update.

I am looking at a few different bypass units for that size compressor as well.
- A Boost Controller is going to allow you more boost than the spring in your wastegate allows.

Crash, it sounds like you have a nice system but the way you speak about Pro Turbo shows lack of business knowledge. You never bad mouth you business partner and say if required you can make a 50 minute drive if needed. Fact of the matter is you need Pro Turbo , they can produce your kit in a timely manner, they can get you the best prices on head units waste gates, tubing or whatever. If you didnt need them, you would be marketing the kit on your own and making 100% of the markup. Instead you buy from a middleman Pro Turbo can design a kit like yours or even better, they are just busier in other markets and its easier to make a business deal with you than redesigning a totally new kit. Look at the employees they have, they have Fabricaters that have been designing since Turbos took off in the Automotive industry, they have sales staff/ tech support thats been in the industry just as long and just recently Rick Irvin joined there Team as well.

As for Easterbunny, Im sure there are 2
sides to every story. Im not placing blame on anybody or saying any party is wrong or right. I have known the Owner for several years, Ive done work for the owner and He is 1 of my brothers biggest sponsors. Call my opinion biased here but Pro Turbo has helped this race program as well as others alot. The Owner will do whatever is within reason to keep a customer happy and if that means lossing money on a part, Ive seen it done before.

Finally:

Crash and Neil, Its very apparent the 2 of you are doing nothing more than stroking each others goat. (This happens in most posts I see you guys envolved in) Take it to email, if Im not mistaken Ive seen Doug post the board isnt a personal messenging service. Unless you can add to the topic or help Easter get his system for his Mustang, lets let this thread die.

All I can say are the facts.
1. I placed an order for a turbo system from PTK on 04-27-04.
2. I called and asked how long it would take they said 6-8 weeks. 3. The "fine print" on the contract says normal delivery is 6-8 weeks.
4. I haven't received my kit. My kit hasn't even been fabricated yet 9 weeks later.
5. PTK refuses to refund my $1992.50 deposit.

I have scoured the internet and found one person who says they received their PTK kit in 8 weeks. EVERY other circumstance that I have come across has PTK delivering their kits in over 8 weeks. Most over 13 weeks and some even longer. So, the "normal delivery" of over 8 weeks is not what I was told and is not what I agreed to in the contract.

The main problem I have is I was told one thing and another is happening. If they were interested in customer service they would have returned my deposit after not living up to the contract. My kit was not a super custom kit. Is a basic kit for 1991 stock mustang. They haven't even started making the kit yet!

Apparently I have struck a nerve and they are shutting down production of the mustang kit on July 2nd until they get caught up.

I ordered a kit for my Gen1 in January and it took them 5 months to get it to me. Got this month, havent put it on yet. I get the impression that they are overwhelmed with orders and such. I know how you feel though. I would rather be told the truth about how long it will be instead of 6 to 8 weeks. I missed two open track events in May that I signed up for thinking I would have the truck tuned and ready to go by then. If it means anything to you, the kit looks top notch and is made very well. Good luck

1ST : What the hell are you talking about?

2ND : I'm in this thread discussing DEREK/MARK's turbo kit for the F-150's, which is together with PRO TURBO.

3RD : Yes DEREK and I have had problems in the past in threads but not here. We have settled things. Sounds like your trying to start trouble to me.

4TH : If you have nothing to contribute to the thread then leave, plain and simple.
