I have heard all the rumors about Jerry, but his reputation in tuning is unparalleled.

So I made my appoint about a month ago at Dyno Daves Near Metro Airport (detroit)
I was first in line to be tuned tonight at 5pm. (soon after I arrived 4 '03 cobras, and other mustangs puled in to be tuned also)
So I talk to Jerry for a bit about the truck, telling him my mods and he asked how many different programs I want. I tell him 2 street and race. Well He reflashed the PCM with the street program and gave me a chip for the race program
It is a real nice setup.
The chip can hold 7, yes that is correct 7 different program, and the 8th position is the stock PCM.
So you can have 8 different programs!
UNBELIEVABLE. ROCK ON!

Now mind you I ONLY have a 3, (three) pound pulley. so I was thinking maybe 400 rear wheel horsepower. Well I hit 400 RHP on the first (tune run) on the Dyno., Second run I as up to 417... It kept going up and up.

Final numbers
425 Rear wheel SAE corrected Horsepower
(not inflated STD. numbers that other tuners use)
49x rear wheel SAE corrected Torque
:ON THE STREET SIDE OF THE CHIP, NOT RACE SIDE
The race sie has 4 more degrees timing


Not bad for a 3# pulley eh?

I still can't get over that I can have 8 different programs on one chip.

the cobras were putting down over 490rwhp. (then I left)


I have to say Jerry is one kick a$$ kewl guy who knows his *****.
I've read all the posts about him and his attitude, but I choose to make my own decisions and have an open mind.

He really is a kewl guy!
If you get the opportunity, you should definitely talk to him in person.

He travels around the USA tuning all types of vehicles, later this week he will be down south tuning a mustang club.

All I have to say is I was THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED !!!

Yea, JERRY has been tuning my GT & L for several years!! He's the best!!

 

Nice numbers! I want to be around 430-440 rwhp with my mods. I am getting tuned by Brian@SCT next month. He and Jerry are pretty close

 

a/f ratio was pretty flat at about 12.0
timing is 14 degrees? I think that is what he said. the race program bumps that up a few more degrees...
