Once shock is installed, there is the rubber washer & nut (isolator nut?) that goes at the top...

QUESTION how tight do i make this?

I have the jack under the control arm, jacked until the shock cant go up anymore.... do i just spin the rubber washer/nut all the way down snug, then remove jack?

 

If it's the rubber washer, I just tightend mine till the rubber bushing spread out a little.

 

As you tighten, watch the UPPER and LOWER bushings up top. They'll snug up, then slightly start to equally bulge; stop there. Don't crank them down and swell them outside the washer/keeper.
