Idea for cool can

I have an idea for my own cool can that I would like everyones opinion on. I have a cool old anheiser busch (sp?) keg sitting in my shop. I was gonna make a solvent tank out of it, but thought a glycol cooler would be a sweet idea. It would look kinda neat strapped in the bed of the L. I have an old fuel filler cap and housing off of an airplane, and was wondering if maybe the keg might be too large for the application. It is a full size keg, (30 gallons?) and has a cool logo from budweiser on it. The keg was a road find my dad had in his shed for probably 10 years. I ended up with it and this was one idea.

Suggestions or comments?

Thanks. Grimace

Another suggestion....

Custom fuel cell with flames licking up the sides and the words "Fire in the Hole!" painted in crimson?

Fill the keg with beer

Then get a nitrous kit to cool things down

From: Colorado,
The weight of the keg plus whatever brackets you come up with is extra unwanted weight.

At about 8.5 pounds per gallon of water 8.5X30=255lbs.

You start out with all that cool water and it is a good thing not considering the weight but ounce you get it hot how are you going to cool it back down.

If you want extra volume of water do it in the form of a heat exchanger to reject the heat. ( Bigger radiator)

You could possibly put a copper coil in the keg and fill it with ice but it is all just extra plumbing and unwanted weight.

I say just polish it up and make a nice oak support for it and do the flames as suggested or say something like
"I got power on tap!"
What about mounting speakers in the ends for a sub woofer or make it open for tool storage or whatever.

Better yet! exchange it for a full one and think about it with your buddies.

I was actually gonna coil tubing up in the keg, and tig weld the cap back on. Then I would have a closed loop system, not just a can full of cold water. I have a few things to work out, but will post pics during the process.

Thanks for the input guys, and don't worry. I have plenty of beer in the shop fridge

From: Colorado,
The solar heat industry has some already made copper coiled fin tube.
I got some solar panels that had been sitting around the warehouse cheap and hooked them up to a swimming pool.

You might check the yellow pages and see what you can find that is damaged or salvagable to experiment with.

There is also that slant fin baseboard heat in 1/2 or 3/4 tubing.
Just some ideas.

I know you will come up with something functional and COOL

I am gonna try to use the keg with copper tube coiled up in it for the glycol to flow through. Home depot and lowes are friends of mine
