Transmission Leak during burnout

Went to the track this past weekend and the XMSN was leaking (not dripping) after the burnout. Cooled it down and no leak, drove it around and no leak, power brake it again and leaks. What do you all think?

My current mods to the XMSN is just an aftermarket valve body.

From: Colorado,
Need more info. Please

Did you overfill it after replacing valve body?
Does it shift allright?
Where is leaking from?

Mine puked from the vent once after hard track (road race) use. Ford reps at the track said don't worry about it. Some road racers recommend removing 1 quart before racing.

It's shifting properly and leaking from the bottom (not from the pan). Overfilling sounds right, but why didn't it leak on the first run and only when I power break it?

You may have heated up your front seal at the pump and it's leaking like a sieve, this is pretty common when you do long burnouts (anything over 30-60 seconds is pretty darn hard on the pump, I wouldn't) When it cools down the seal holds it better, but it's only gonna get worse, look inside the dust cover and see if there is fluid inside the bell, if there is, you need to get that seal replaced.

Hope this helps,

G

Factory_Tech,

What can I expect this seal job to cost me?
