Cool 3.3 Whipple M112 Replacement Kit

I will be doing my Lightning engine swap soon. Therefore, I was wondering..............

The Ken Bell and Works twinscrew M112 replacement kits use a 2.3 headunit. Why has no one made a m112 replacement kit with the Whipple 3.3 twinscrew ?

Has someone already tried a mock-up? Does the larger size of the blower cause firewall, hood, adapter plate (blower to intercooler), or pulley alignment issues?

All of the above. Not saying it cannot be done but not easily, especially with rear entry.

......yeah, I remember reading something about it a while back. Supposely, it should be able to produce sick rwhp and rwtq. numbers. Maybe, someone out there is brave enough to develop a prototype?

There are some pictures out there of a 4 valve motor with a 3.3 on top of it. Unfortunately, nothing ever came of it.

Sadly that was a picture of a 3.3 just sitting on top of it. It was not attached.

You know if you turned that big old blower around so the rear entry was now a front entry and put a jack shaft off to the side to drive it like the street rod guys do ...... I bet it would run and fit fine.

......yeah, or put a "custom" dent in the firewall, make an adapter plate that tapers from the wider 3.3 Whipple floor to the narrower lightning intercooler mounting surface, and have the correct lenght nose cone made. Either way, it appears that, if a courageous soul could put together a Whipple 3.3 "Bazooka Blower" kit for the Lightning set-up, NOTHING on the street could come close.......EVER.

You'll be needing a taller hood also. and a big strap to hold the heads on

No. They are a quality twin screw, but there is nothing magic inside the box.

It's just that we are talking about a huge blower.
