I got this AWESOME compliment, unfortunately...

It was form the guy TOWING my L. (He said it was the nicest vehicle he ever towed. LOL)

Thats right. Flatbedded again.

Was trying to drive to JDMs for my 4 bank tune. Of course the Electrical gods have other plans.

Drove 10 minutes and fuse blows out (I guess problem not fixed , like I thought).

Put a new 20 amp fuse in and 30 seconds later(never had that happen so soon) it blew. Went to put another 20 amp fuse in and I got a spark(again, never happened before).

So I left the fuse out, drove to Dunkin Donuts (block away) and called Triple A (I have a plus account, 100 miles free towing).

So the L is back at JDMs again.

03 was such a great year , 04 is not going as well. LOL.

To be continued.............

VINNIE

sorry to hear it but. . . . .on the bright side of things you are blowing fuses really quick, which is actually kinda a good thing. Its a shame, those things are 6 bucks a piece or so, but at least now you'll know when you have your problem fixed.

The 20 amp (Alternator fuse) under the hood. Its mini fuse.

Basically once it blows, no juice is going to the battery and its only a matter of time (not long) the truck will just stop running.

Mini fuse? I thougt the one you were talking about was called a superfuse or something like that by ford. Its the one thats about 3-4 inches across, 3/4 wide and flat right? with a screw hole on either end?

Nope its just a little 20 amp fuse. 5 for $3.

It is in line with all the other mini fuses.

Fluk the Fluk Meter, wrap that fuse in Aluminum Foil
and FORGET ABOUT IT
or put a 100 Amp fuse in there, OR SOMETHING ......

Maybe if you stopped disconnecting your Battery so much,
this wouldn't happen. Didn't you ever hear the expression,
"if you wiggle it more than twice, your playing with it"
Stop Playing with it V,

BTW,
Sorry to hear it got towed in, THAT SUCKS.
Have you put a meter on it and see what the Battery reads
while running, then not running, then under a Load ?
"If" our trucks have the equal to what use to be a "Voltage Regulator", I'd start there.

You know what they say Vinnie, "It's hard to keep a good truck down".....or something.
Plus, you've got 8 more months to turn 04 into another banner year.
Here's hoping your problem is fixed in short order.

Have a great day eh !................................................. .....Dave

When I saw your other thread, I thought it was your amplifier fuse that was blowing.

Vinnie, check the wires to the starter. I know with Long Tube Headers they are real close to the frame or header. That could be causing your problem.

OR you could put a paper clip across the fuse contacts. At least you won't have a problem with the fuse blowing.

J/K don't do that.
