I suppose that depends on whether you want to look ready to pimp in the neighborhood or lwhether you want to look ready to RACE.

When is the last time that you saw a race car with a billet grill?

Please, whatever you decide to go with...make sure they have a matching bottom grille. There is nothing worse than a different top and bottom grille.

I have never seen a true race car with any grill.

Its not like this is a drag truck anyways. Its a daily driver. Why not make it look pimp as posible?

Really? Where are you looking?

Do as you wish, sir -- it's your truck. I was just responding to your statement that "the best is BILLET."

And to my eye, nothing is pimpier than a race car -- and nothing is more pathetic than a ghettoed car. Okay, maybe a ricer. But it's a close call.

I get nothing but good coments on my grill everywhere I drive my truck.

How are you going say to say that the billet grill is a ghetttoed car. Whats ghetto is when it looks like your L is a 10 sec truck and it is far from it. Isnt that what most ricers try to do. Make their cars look fast when there so as hell. And like I said befor---How can you compare a daily driver to a all out race car?

When I say "billet is the best grill" doesn mean that it really is the best. Just having a little fun with others. Everybodys taste is different.

My tastes are apparently pretty far from the mainstream. I waited six months on my wheels, but Tire Rack couldn't give them away. Probably because they aren't chrome.

I don't like billet grills (maybe black ones). So what? Billet grills still outsell mesh grills about 10 to 1. So more people agree with you than me.

I generally don't like chrome on sports cars (or sport trucks). But many people do. For MY tastes, chrome on a sports vehicle is ghetto.

But that's just me. Point - counterpoint. No winner, no loser. There can't even be a right answer, as we are talking about tastes and opinions. It's all good.

Hey, at least almost everything on my bike is chrome:

Just to let eveyone know, more than one race exists. While anyone's 11 toed uncle can run a vehicle with an auto tranny down the 1/4, not everyone can run around a road course or open road event pushing the limits. That takes not only skill, but a properly set up vehicle. The black Grill looks awesome in my opinion and screems pure road racing machine. Just my two tax penny's

Thought I was the only one that felt this way.

grills

Since you're asking for opinions on a hot grill and nobody yet has suggested the Harley Davidson edition grill I will. I prefer the 2002/03 grill and for me it is the perfect fit! There is no lower grill to match currently so I am having my lower grill chromed. If it doesn't turn out right then will consider the JJ ent lower grill but it is in stainless and does not match the chrome upper on close inspection. I'm not a Skelton kinda guy and like chrome appointments to set off a dark color vehicle. Must be my age. When I first started hot rodding vehicles the word billet wasn't even in the dictionary. Personally don't like billet much, prefer chrome and paint but that's just me. Anyways, take a look at a Harley grill to see what you think. They bolt right up since they are a Ford part. That's my .02.
