I was told not to gap my plugs

I was just told by a vendor that i should not change the gap on my plugs (denso it22) that denso reccomends not touching them. This is contrary to everything that i have read here

#1 Rule with plugs. Always inspect the plug and verify the gap is set correctly. I don't care what Denso says. I have pulled new plugs from cars that had no gap and were installed in engine build.

A few minutes will save you a hassel later.

I've got Denso's IT-22's - and checked and re-gapped every one of them for my application. Perhaps the gap "in the box" is ok for stocker, but obviously Denso couldn't know specifically what "you're" using them for. And under any circumstances, as previously noted: you have to check the gaps to be sure what you've got.
