i have had this nitrous kit for awhile, its a Nos brand inline sportsman fogger system, i know its made for a v6 but i couldnt pass up the deal the kit retails for 450-600 and i got it for a lot cheaper i was wondering if i could use any of the parts on it for my truck. i dont know much about nitrous systems any info would be good. thanks

 

Sell it for 450-600 and get a kit that works for your truck

A nitrous kit doesn't have to be for the Lightning to work. All you need is a bottle, line, a couple of solenoids, some vacuum tube, some fittings, jets and a nozzle and you're set. You really don't even need a purge.

My kit isnt made for a Lightning but it works great

 

nope no purge, do have a bottle warmer though.

 

I would buy the nicer kit and pick up a purge kit for a 100 bucks.

For some reason there seems to be a lot of voodo surounding nitrous, even though its one of the simplest modifications you can put on a vehicle. Its a bottle with a hose connected to solenoid thats either open/closed, and a nozzle that squirts. Virtually any kit made for any car can be interchanged.
