Stop being so damn paranoid....
If you really think that Big Brother needs to gather information on what you do to "YOUR" vehicle so they can void your warranty, then you also must believe in the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy..
For those who do not reveal their location, well, I would venture to say that "ALL" they post here may not be the real truth, or maybe it is just their fantasy. Or could they not want anyone to know who or where they are so they can flame and not worry about reprisal...
Just one mans theroy..
But, please lighten up on the "Big Brother is Watching" issue...
For those who do not know me, I , along with several others on this board are management type employees for Big Brother, and I would be first in line to fight for my warranty should someone attempt to void it without just cause...

I know of one person that had their warranty voided because of the message board.

Or maybe I've moved five times since I got my L, and I don't want to have to keep updating my friggin' profile...

Fast Gator:

It's not the "America's Most Wanted Show" that you need to worry about. The info from the "Spook Mill" is that your PCM
has some NSA "black works scary stuff"
built into it ...so be careful what wild women you "escort" in your truck...also there is a rumor that a microwave tv monitor is also installed in your truck...
so be cautious Mr. Gator...BIG MAMMA Is
watching....I think it's rather kinky...just think....you never have to be alone anymore!

ps- Hope your doing well Gator.

I can tell you this in some cases Big brother does monitor these boards!
I even know of a mod friendly tech who lost his job last year from the HALO club. There was a person who posted that they were having problems but were concerned about there mods. He supposibly serviced the truck as warrenty.

Advice just use common sence we do investigat every return engine we get. We have a dyno team that tears them down and writes a detail report on there findings.

I have seen returns where the SC pulley is brand new and so is the crank pulley. However, all the other pullies have wear! How smart is that?

but whenever I see a new member or name that I don't recognize post something I usually click on the post to see where they are from.

it'd be nice for everyone to know if a new member was local or not.

for local and regional events and just to welcome people to the community and stuff.

anybody else think this should be a "required" field upon signup?

i'm not asking for GPS latitude/longitude, home address, and mothers maiden name.

i'm just saying at least put the STATE or nearest city or geographic region or something like that?

just my .02

later,
chris
I'm in the witness protection program. If I told you where I lived, then about 6 guys in black suits, sunglasses and toting what appears to look like guitar cases would show up at your door. They aren't real friendly either.
