And that my friend was the only mod you needed. There isn't much else that will increase the performance of your truck more than cold air.
I got a 12.9 with a 2lb and a chip in a 2000, with a warm truck.
I pulled a 12.996 my last run of the season two years ago, with a chip, filter, and 2lb lower!!!! My goal was to get into the 12's with just a 2 lb lower in full trim on stock tires and i did it......barely.

I swapped to the 4lb the next season to be able to run in the 12's consistantly. Even on an unprepped track in the heat, as long as I didn't completely blow the launch I was running minimal 12.9x's all day long and was consistant as could be. Now I've added extra mods and power, and i'm trying to learn how to launch with my dot hoosiers. Best was 1.91 60 on them. I should be down in the low 1.8's to high 1.7's constatly but haven't figured out the problem. More practice to come. I mean they gotta work, these same tires twisted Lightningquick's driveshaft up like a pretzel.

"these same tires twisted Lightningquick's driveshaft up like a pretzel."
Aint that the truth.

Just goes to show who knows how to drive

you know what kinda pi$$es me off?, They replaced the driveshaft for me and fixed the problem but I still have a vibration back there or in the transmission since that day.I got to bring it back this year. I think the truck only has like 1k more miles on it even though it was a year ago.

great times man even with just a filter and cat back. Great times. I didnt dyno stock, but I went 13.8. I was happy with that. I know some guys have went faster with their 2000's and even faster in some 01-04's. Again, great times man.
