I'm not sure how your fuel solenoid feed line is setup, but if it goes in at the schrader valve fitting, then it is pipe thread if I 'm not mistaken. you shouldn't be trying to put a bolt in there! but I guess you already figured that out.

Im a big plumbing moron. For some reason I forget that some water can remain in the pipes when I sweat the pipes to break them apart and I pull them apart and hot steam/water comes out. I have scalded myself a few times this way.
I am pretty good with tools, it's knifes I need to stay away from.... cut the same finger off twice 
The good thing is when it's gonna rain my finger starts to ache, it's like my own little weather man.
