That sucks.

what did you do to your pinky knuckle?

...and for the record, I've done compression tests on fuelie motors with and without the throttle plate tied wide open and got consistent results either way.

nice, nothing like suffering major injury while working, i love that.

well while you need to have the pistons takin out. . . .might as well . . . build your lower end huh? But at least your found your problem. Also did you throw some fresh oil in there and see if it went up?

I slipped taking out the first spark plug, so that ended that test. I had to put the plug back in and Drove myself to the E room with my hand gushing blood and my truck shaking all over the place.

I did not do the oil test because I wanted to make sure I do it right. Do I just pour some down the spark plug hole? How much oil do I need to put in there?

Gee I wonder who Gators talking about

So I couldn't see for a week, BIG DEAL
I took the proper precautions to warn people on the road

That sucks halflife, VERY sorry to hear it
Maybe it's a cracked busted bend or burnt Valve
I rather have that than a hole in the piston ?
I guess the next move is to remove the head, BUMMER

I hope you figure it out and get it fixed fast

THIS SUCKS *@$#(!@#$(!@#)!@##@

From: Colorado,
Two or three squirts with your basic trigger style oiler.

Sorry about your hand. Two bad you can't just pop a couple pain pills in the gas tank and wait for these trucks to heal themselves.

Just for giggles try it with your throttle open and closed back to back testing.

I usually count off 6 or 7 cycles when I crank it.

Good Luck

Wan`t a real cheap fix? Just ALOT more boost. That should build up some compression. HEHE

Sorry Tom, just joking.

if you really only have 5psi of compression, then a few drops of oil sure isn't gonna change anything...

put shop air on it and see where it comes out (crankcase or intake/exhaust.

good luck

later,
chris
